Scientific paper published
Congratulations to Katrina Hutchinson MD, Biomnis Ireland Senior Clinical Biochemist on the publication of her paper in Practical Laboratory Medicine.
This paper forms part of her PhD project at NUI Galway, which is sponsored by the Irish Research Council, and is supervised by Dr Yury Rochev of NUIG, and by Dr Michael Louw, Medical Director at Biomnis Ireland, as employment mentor. The work has been carried out in collaboration with Dr Martin Healy, Principal Clinical Biochemist, and Dr Vivion Crowley, Consultant Chemical Pathologist in St. James’s Hospital, Dublin.
Practical Laboratory Medicine is a peer-reviewed, international open-access journal which publishes original research, new methods and critical evaluations, case reports and short papers in the fields of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine.
The objective of the study was the analytical and clinical verification of both old and new generations of the Abbott total 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD) assays, and an examination of reference Intervals.
