Eurofins operates Clinical Testing laboratories in Dublin located over 3 sites: Blood Sciences (Clinical Chemistry, Immunology & Haematology); Microbiology, Histopathology and more recently a Clinical Genetics Lab. We employ 343 staff covering our laboratory and logistics services.
Eurofins Biomnis has been providing laboratory services in Ireland since 1991 (through Claymon Laboratories and subsequently as Biomnis Ireland) and with over 25,000 sq. ft. of laboratory space, we continue to repatriate referral tests and add new ones to our wide test repertoire, supplemented by cutting-edge technical solutions to enhance our client experience.
We are currently undergoing a major expansion of laboratory space in Dublin, with a doubling of laboratory footprint. We are also scoping investment in clinical testing laboratory in our Eurofins campus in Cork.
In Q2 this year, our Microbiology & Molecular team will commence working with the BD MAX™ System. Performing multiple molecular tests on a single, automated system, it will increase productivity in our Microbiology lab, improve turnaround time and allow for fast, appropriate treatment decisions. It will allow expanded options for STI testing and new offerings for in-house HAI (Hospital acquired infection) detection, women's health and more. Acclaimed for its rapid and accurate results, we are looking forward to putting it into service as soon as possible.
